JCI Challenge 2020 will be located in Galway, Ireland

Galway is located on the West Coast of Ireland and was voted the Friendliest City in the world and is also home to the European Capital of Culture for 2020.

Salthill, where you will be staying, is located less than 10 minutes from the city centre and overlooks the Galway Bay and beautiful Salthill promenade and beach.

How do we get there?
For those of you are travelling from abroad it depends on where you fly into. Thankfully there are public transport options from all airports.

Dublin Airport
You can travel from Dublin Airport to Galway with CitylInk Bus directly to Galway. The journey is roughly 2 hours 30 minutes.
A return ticket will cost est. €25

Shannon Airport
You can travel from Shannon Airport to Galway with Bus Eireann. The bus route is the 51 and 51X.
Depending on whether you take the express bus (X51) or normal bus (51) the journey will between 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes. 
A single ticket will cost est. €15

There is also the option of getting the train to Galway with Irish Rail

All of the above transport options will bring you to Eyre Square, which is the city centre of Galway.

To get to Salthill you will need to take the 401 bus from Eyre Square to Salthill. The bus is €2.50 each way. Alternatively a taxi will cost est. €10-15.

However the JCI Galway Team will do their best to meet you in Eyre Square on arrival!
